The 2‑day in-person Child Safe Champions course builds practical knowledge and confidence in applying the Victorian Child Safe Standards and creating environments where children and young people are safe, empowered and supported. It’s hands‑on and interactive, with activities, real‑life examples and group discussions to help everyone understand how the Victorian Child Safe Standards work in everyday situations.

*Each spot registered will include a ticket to Day 1 and Day 2. Catering is provided on the day.

YACVic's Child Safe Champions 2-Day training is delivered in-person in partnership with Safe and Equal, the peak body for specialist family violence services that provide support to victim survivors in Victoria.

YACVic are committed to access and inclusion. Throughout the training we have 1 ten-minute break, enable Zoom's automatic captioning and provide image descriptions of visuals used. If you require extra support to attend the session, we can book in live captioning and/or Auslan interpreters.
Our work takes place through the lands of the Aboriginal nations within Victoria and we pay our respects to their Elders past and present. Bunjil’s lore states that those who walk on this land must care for the Country and waterways as well as care for the children and young people. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
