The opportunity

YACVic is hosting an online Roundtable to hear young people's perspectives on Victoria’s Youth Strategy, Our promise, Your future.

The Strategy informs the work the Victorian Government does to support young people. It was released in August 2022 and developed with young people’s input and advice. At the mid-point of the Youth Strategy, the Victorian Government wants to hear from young people again.

You are invited to share your thoughts on:

• what has changed since the Youth Strategy’s launch in 2022

• the issues young people are currently facing

What does it involve?

YACVic will run one online workshop with approximately 10 young people (aged 18-25) with a diverse range of identities and backgrounds.

You will attend a roundtable discussion to draw on your lived experience, unique perspectives and expertise, providing input on discussion points such as:

  • Where do you feel the most safe and why?

  • What has helped you take a step towards your goals?

  • What made it easier to get the help you needed?

The consultation will be held on Zoom, on:

  • Monday 10 November, 4:30pm - 6pm.

Safety and Support

The workshop will be run by YACVic’s Participation & Development team with Young Peer Facilitators leading the conversation, and on hand to support your participation.

YACVic is a child safe organisation. By taking part in our opportunities, you agree to join us in our commitment to child safety
