Your Rights in Victoria

Everyone has rights. Rights help ensure you are safe and are being treated fairly.

The United Nations created the An international agreement that ensures disabled people have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.Convention of the Rights of People with Disabilities to protect disabled people. It is an agreement that ensures disabled people have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.

For example, you have a right to:

  • Get an education
  • Have a job where you feel safe and valued
  • Have a safe place to live

These are just some of the many rights you have.

If your rights are not being met, you can get support from an advocacy service.
