Last year, the government introduced new laws around Affirmative Consent.

New laws can be hard to wrap your head around, so our Yeah, Nah team is coming to the Great South Coast to help you work out what the laws will look like in your everyday life and relationships!

Yeah, Nah’s focus is to make sure young people know that true affirmative consent is given in the moment, not hours before.

You’ll get a better understanding of how to gain and give affirmative consent, and be empowered to have fun, healthy and safe relationships.

Who should attend

Young people aged 12-25 who want to have fun while being safe in their relationships, or those who also just want to look out for their friends.

Content warning

This workshop will discuss consent and facilitate conversations around sexual violence which may include mentions of sexual assault and rape.

We recognise that these topics can be triggering and may lead to a range of different emotions. We urge you to check in with yourself throughout the session to make sure you and your mental wellbeing are being cared for.

If at any time you need to step out, you are more than welcome to do so. Someone from our team may check up on you, but if you just need a minute alone, know that is completely okay. If you do need support, we can provide that.
