Who are the HEY Partners?

The Healthy Equal Youth (HEY) Partners are a group of 17 organisations that work together to deliver inclusive spaces and programs for LGBTIQA+ young people.

As a collective, the HEY Partners collaborate on a range of projects, working to develop a consistent cohort of services, information and training across Victoria. They provide peer support, referrals to specialist services, community visibility, education, and targeted community development programs for LGBTIQA+ young people.

Some of the ways the group works together includes:

  • Organising events and workshops
  • Promoting each other’s programs so that as many LGBTQIA+ young people across Victoria can find safe spaces to be in
  • Collaborating on writing government submissions and providing feedback on government policy

By working alongside one another, the HEY Partners can act cohesively to provide health and wellbeing support for LGBTQIA+ young people, and be a reference for best practice, inclusion and diversity.

They also have supported over 120 organisations and provided more than $1.3 million of funding over 13 years through the annual HEY Grants.
