Applications are now open to join Series 1 of the Youth Sector Leaders Program.
The program combines Leadership Victoria's 35+ years of leadership development expertise with YACVic's sector knowledge, networks and commitment to youth participation. With five intakes over three years and places for 120 leaders, there are multiple opportunities to join.
What to expect
Are you ready to strengthen your leadership skills? Want to connect with leaders who are shaping the future of Victoria’s youth sector? The Youth Sector Leaders Program is designed to help you:
- grow your leadership capability in a supportive learning environment
- build connections with peers from across Victoria’s youth sector
- explore new approaches to leadership, influence and systems change
- advance meaningful youth participation
- strengthen your ability to navigate complexity and create impact for young people.
Who should apply?
This initiative is designed specifically for people working in and alongside the youth sector.
Series 1 applications are now open to mid-level and senior operational leaders across Victoria, or what we call "sandwich leaders". These are leaders who translate big-picture strategy from above into real action on the frontline below. They lead teams and programs, juggle complex stakeholders and hold a lot of the weight that keeps organisations moving.
Future series will focus on emerging leaders, CEOs and executive-level leaders.
Program details
Training will be held in person over five days in November and December 2026.
Location: Oaks on Market, 6 Market Street, Melbourne.
Program dates: November 10th, 11th and 24th, December 8th and 9th.
Cost: Subsidised tickets start at just $250 per participant for the 5-day program. Regional and rural scholarships are available.
