What to expect

Rural Huddles happen online every three months and bring together rural and regional young people and youth sector workers to explore key issues.

The next YACVic Rural Huddle will focus on the upgrades being made to two of our key sector-leading resources: Youth Engagement Resource Platform (YERP) and the Code of Ethical Practice. These resources aim to ensure that young people and the youth sector can work together in a safe and effective way.

You don't need to be familiar with YERP or the Code, just have an interest in youth participation and the youth sector!

This session will be interactive and explore topics that impact YERP and the Code, including:

  • Online youth work
  • Safety
  • Lived experience
  • Peer work
  • Issues that impact rural youth workers and young people
  • Best practice for engaging rural young people.

Please come along and share your experiences, knowledge and ideas!
