Are you a creative young person with a disability or health condition? We want to hear from you!
Youth Disability Advocacy Service or YDAS has an exciting opportunity for you to create content for disabled young people as part of our COVID-19 Project.
You will get support and a platform to share your story, experience, ideas, and creativity alongside other disabled young people.
This is a paid opportunity.
Who is this opportunity for?
This opportunity is for young Victorians, aged 12 to 25 years old, who identify as:
- having a disability, health condition or chronic illness
- neurodiverse or autistic
- Deaf, deaf or hard of hearing
- blind or vision impaired
- having lived experience of mental health issues.
This opportunity is only for young people who live in Victoria.
What can my content be about?
Your content should relate to COVID-19 or disability in some way. There are so many different things you can focus on, so here are some ideas to get you started:
- Your experience during COVID-19
- How Victoria can be more accessible and inclusive for disabled young people
- Disability pride
- Being part of the disability community
- Mental health
- Speaking up as a disabled young person
- Something else!
Your audience will be other young people with a disability or health condition.
What format does my content have to be?
You content can be in any format that works for you. It could be a:
- Story, poem or blog post
- Painting or artwork
- Comic or illustration
- Short video
- Audio recording
- Something else!
Your content will be published on our website and shared on our social media.
