The YDAS Steering Committee is a group of disabled young people who meet regularly to support the work that YDAS does.
Activities that the Steering Committee members take part in include:
- Advocacy projects
- Opportunities for volunteer and paid work
- Training programs, including our Young Leaders Program
- Representing YDAS at events.
For example, YDAS uses identity-first language (disabled person instead of person with disability) because the Steering Committee members voted that we should.
We are not currently recruiting new members for our Steering Committee, but we have lots of other opportunities for disabled young people.
If you are interested in being a leader, you can apply to join our free Young Leaders Program.
Follow us on social media to keep up-to-date with other opportunities that you may be interested in.
