The YDAS Steering Committee is a group of disabled young people who meet once a month. They support the work that YDAS does, and spend time with other young disabled people!
Activities that the Steering Committee takes part in include:
- Advocacy projects
- Opportunities for volunteer and paid work
- Training programs, such as our Emerging Young Leaders Program
- Representing YDAS at events
For example, YDAS uses identity-first language (disabled person instead of person with disability) because the Steering Committee voted that we should.
The YDAS Steering Committee is looking for new members!
It is free to join, and it is a great opportunity to be part of a fun and friendly community.
Are you a young person aged 12-25 who lives in Victoria and identifies as disabled?
