What are 'Green Flags'?

Young people usually understand basic 'red flags' of danger, particularly online. But what about 'green flags' - the good signs you can look for to help you decide if something is right for you?

Many youth spaces in regional and rural areas have worked hard during COVID-19 to keep young people safe. Our Green Flags series shares their stories, advice and ideas. They'll help you identify what safety looks and feels like in different types of youth spaces.

The Mallacoota Youth Sanctuary is a safe haven for Mallacoota's young people established in the wake of the 2019-20 summer bushfires. It's the first of its kind in the area, and in just over a year has become a place for teenagers and young adults to share their voice, learn new skills and connect.
