Youth Affairs Council Victoria (YACVic) alongside with the Department of Education and Training (DET) are hosting FREE workshops to support young people in the Ovens-Murray and Gippsland area and involve them in bushfire recovery efforts.
We are inviting young people who were affected by the 2019-20 Eastern Victoria bushfires to take part in these workshops so that they can develop their leadership, advocacy, and decision-making skills to help empower young people's engagement throughout Victoria's recovery period.
Get involved to find out how your voice can be heard. Connect with other young people and learn about their experiences. You will learn about:
- Participating in your local community recovery
- Making decisions
- Getting support for your ideas
- Working with different groups and organisations
- Gaining support from various people for your ideas
