What to expect
Do you want to speak to the media on an issue that affects you?
Young people should be actively advocating and representing their communities in the media on issues we care about. Yet only 1% of stories in Australian mainstream media quote young people.
Youth Affairs Council Victoria (YACVic) is piloting dedicated media training for young people aged 12 to 25. This training session provides guidance and an introduction to navigating the world of media, the art of pitching a story and how to nail an interview.
The session is designed for a small group of up to 20 young people and is run by Thomas Feng, YACVic Media and Communications Manager.
This pricing is for the pilot session and covers food and refreshments.
Who should attend
This workshop is for young people aged 12 to 25 who want to engage with the media.
