Over 130 new changes to Victoria's renting rules came into effect on 29 March 2021.

The changes apply to all types of tenancies and provide protections from before signing a rental agreement until after the lease expires.

What to expect

Join VCOSS, YACVic and Youthlaw for a special online briefing on changes to Victoria’s renting rules, including

  • Protections against discrimination and evictions.
  • A new process for managing rent arrears.
  • New minimum standards and the ability to make modifications.

Join us for a special briefing on the changes, including a Q&A session on what they mean for renters and how workers can support young renters to navigate the new system.

Our guest presenters for this session are James Tresise from Youthlaw and Liam Head from Youth Affairs Council of Victoria (YACVic)
