The opportunity

YACVic & YLab are teaming up to consult with young people across Victoria on their experiences of the workplace to develop a virtual reality project being created by Liminal VR

The project will be funded by WorkSafe’s WorkWell Mental Health Improvement Fund  and aims to benefit the mental health and safety of young workers by improving leadership practices and creating  positive culture within organisations.

Express your interest now.

Am I right for this role?

  • Are you between 15 to 24?
  • Do you have experience in the workplace?

If yes to both, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for young people over the age of 15 who have experience of the working world, it doesn’t matter too much what that work has looked like and whether it was casual, part-time or full-time. We’re looking for a range of experiences working in different sectors and environments so if you’ve got something to say about the experience you’ve had at work we’d love to hear from you.

What’s involved?

There is a 15 minute survey, which we’ll provide a $25 voucher to participants for their contribution to the project.

 OR

We will reimburse you with a $100 voucher to complete one of our interviews – either a one hour 1:1 phone interview or a two hour group interview in June.

All applicants will be contacted, regardless of outcome, to identify areas of interest for future opportunities.

There are limited spots for survey and interview participation, so the EOI entries will not automatically guarantee participation. Your responses will be confidential.

What will I develop through this opportunity?

You’ll be contributing to an innovative project designed to improve the experience young people have at work – your insights will enable the designers of the training modules to make them reflect real lived experience.

You’ll learn more about what makes a mentally healthy, supportive and safe working environment and you’ll develop skills around advocacy.

Send in your interest!

If you are interested, please submit your expression of interest through the Google Form here.

Application close Thursday 2nd July!
