The opportunity

Do you want to advocate to lower the voting age? We are looking for young members to meet with politicians to advocate for young people to have a vote on their future.

We will reimburse you for your time and your travel costs.

We'd love to hear from as many of you as possible who are:

  • passionate about ensuring young people have their voices heard
  • aged 15 to 21
  • interested in learning more about how government works
  • able to meet politicians between Monday 2 February and Thursday 6 February in Melbourne

What will I get from this?

You’ll be contributing your voice to an important issue in front of your local MP and have a greater understanding of how government works. You’ll also be paid for your time and any travel expenses required.

What is expected of me?

You’ll join a meeting with YACVic and your local member of Parliament. YACVic will support you to feel comfortable and confident during the meeting.
