reversing the drift was a solutions summit for young people and workers with young people in rural and regional Victoria. It was presented by the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria with support form VicHealth, The Goulburn Local Learning and Employment Network and the Goulburn Regional Youth Committee in Shepparton on May 9 and 10, 2002. the aim of the summit was to provide a space for exploring solutions and responses to the myriad issues facing young people in country Victoria. The summit showcased projects and services throughout Victoria that are working to develop community identity, celebrate diversity, enhance social connectedness, promote community capacity building and foster rural renewal. It explored the most appropriate ways in which to service rural areas in the long term and provided a space for for young people, workers with young people and local community builders to get together and share solutions for reversing the drift. the summit report is now available to download
