2009 Minimum Wage Review - 23-03-2009
March 2009: YACVic has made a submission to the Australian Fair Pay Commission in response to the 2009 minimum wage review. The submission highlights some issues relating to young people's access to employment in the context of the global economic crisis, the cost of living for young people (particularly for young people living independently), and considerations on the equity of junior wages.

November 2005: This report outlines the outcomes and actions from a forum on Young People's Economic Participation. The forum was hosted by Youth Collaboration in which YACVic is a key partner. Give and Take: The Social Security System and Young People - 14-01-2009
June 2002: This report outlines YACVic's income support forum held February 14, 2002 at Brunswick Town Hall. The forum provided an opportunity to hear about social security policy and how this policy translates into practice. Scott McNaughton from the Victorian State Branch of Family and Community Services presented the Australian’s Working Together Social Security Package and three young people spoke about their experiences with the social security system. An afternoon workshop was also held to allow participants to discuss their issues and concerns in more detail.
