Towards a health and wellbeing framework for 0-18 year olds - 17-06-2010
April 2010: The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development released a discussion paper outlining details of a proposed new health and wellbeing framework for 0-18 year olds, providing an opportunity to strengthen and consolidate the capacity of student wellbeing services delivered through the Department. YACVic made a submission in response to the discussion paper, with a strong focus on strengthening collaboration between schools and youth services to improve outcomes in student wellbeing. Geographical Differences in Higher Education Participation - 30-01-2009
April 2008: The Victorian Parliament's Education and Training Committee has been exploring the geographical differences in the rate in which Victorian students participate in higher education. Whilst the Committee has a broad focus in this investigation, YACVic presented to a public hearing and submitted a written submission focusing on the disadvantages experienced by rural and regional young people in accessing post-secondary education opportunities. November 2007: YACVic, in partnership with the Youth Collaboration, has recently released a report detailing the results of an exciting project investigating youth transitions in Victoria.
State Government Education and Training Legislation Review - 14-01-2009
April 2005: The Inner City Entertainment Precinct Taskforce recently presented a discussion paper presenting some options to address public safety and security in Melbourne’s inner city entertainment precincts. YACVic responded to the discussion paper by writing two submissions, one an internal YACVIC submission and one based on a focus group of young people hosted by YACVic and the Office for Youth.
