It might even be more permanent than a tattoo... what you post online could stay there for life!
The web presents many fantastic ways to communicate. Social media sites are a fun and effective way to communicate with friends, family, and people far and wide, but there are also risks involved.
The Victorian Government, with the help of various partners, wants to get the message out there that when you post or send something, it’s there for life!
To help get the word out, "It's There For Life!" is running a competition inviting you to come up with an image or video that gets that message across. You could win $1,500 in prizes! Check out the info below.
Here's What You Could Win
Competition winners will receive $1500 in prizes, and their images and videos will be used as the basis of a Victorian Government campaign to promote online safety.
Here's What We Want You To Do
We want you to create an image or video that promotes the message, "It’s there for life!" An image could be a photo, illustration, artwork or poster. A video could be a video presentation, short film or animation.
To help you out and give you some ideas about content, we’ve overhauled our CyberSmarts section with heaps of new info about staying safe online. Check it out, and make sure your creative response reflects the key messages on those pages.
We’ll shortlist the best images and videos and then put them on Facebook for your fellow Youth Central fans to vote on.
So get together with some friends - or have a go by yourself - and put your entry together ASAP!
Here's How to Enter
To enter, just use our online entry form to upload your submissions. And make sure you enter by 14 April 2013, because that's when the competition closes.
