Youth Program and Workers Program
Young people (aged 12 – 25) attending the conference are free to attend either the worker’s program or the youth program. Workers over the age of 25 can only attend the workers program.

Plenary Sessions
Plenary sessions are times throughout the conference where everyone comes together to hear a keynote speaker or a panel discussion. Feedback we’ve had in previous conferences tells us that sometimes young people have found the plenary sessions uninteresting as they were tailored more to workers.

During this conference there will be some plenary sessions that are designed to interest both workers and young people. We are also offering other plenary sessions that are designed specifically for young people. These are clearly marked in the program and are open only to young people.

Under 18s at the Conference
If you are under 18 and attending the conference you must do so with a legal guardian or someone who has permission to act as your legal guardian throughout the conference (like a youth worker). Unfortunately YACVic can not take on any duty of care responsibilities for under 18s throughout the conference.

Conference Celebration
On the Wednesday night of the conference a celebration and function will be held at a licensed premises in the city. Under 18s will be able to attend if they are accompanied by a worker who will take responsibility for them throughout the evening. No alcohol will be served to under 18s. For young people aged 18 – 25 ID must be shown at the door. All conference delegates must wear their conference name tags to the conference celebration as a means of identification.
