Young people have the right to express an opinion! (Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child)

YACVic is committed to enhancing the participation of young people in all aspects of Victoria's social and economic life. Towards this goal, it seeks to actively engage young people in the organisations that represent them and that influence the policies and programs that impact on their lives.

This summit will bring together young people from schools, organisations, committees, campaigns and projects to share experiences and plan future directions which will extend and enhance the ability of young people to change the world! Young people from a diversity of areas are encouraged to attend.

The day will be focused around youth participation in three broad areas
> Participation in Student Councils and School Councils
> Participation in community organisations and campaigns
> Getting your voice heard by the government
