The Parks Victoria Youth Engagement Project is an activity of Parks Victoria’s Healthy Parks Healthy People – Active in Parks program and aims to increase the involvement, participation and visitation of young people with parks.
Parks Victoria is the statutory body responsible for managing more than four million hectares of park land across the state, which equates to 17 per cent of Victoria. Parks Victoria works to ensure that parks are healthy and resilient for current and future generations.
The activities of this project include creating resources that better inform young people and those who support young people about parks and working in partnership to pilot projects which introduce young people to parks.
The Parks Victoria Youth Engagement Project is the result of a partnership between YACVic and Parks Victoria.
